Noel Schaff Takes Helm as Jelly Jar Winemaker NOVATO, Calif., June 19, 2019 /HalcyonTV/ -- Jelly Jar Wines mark a return to early California winemaking, when Italian immigrants crafted food-friendly wines to enjoy around the family table, most often out of jelly jars. To continue the tradition for a new generation, Jelly Jar welcomes Noel Schaff to the role of winemaker. With almost a decade of experience, Schaff brings a youthful approach to winemaking to create wines that consumers love. "Creating a wine that brings people together is something I love to do. I envision a table full of good friends and laughter with a bottle of Jelly Jar," says Schaff. "I am looking forward to carrying on Jelly Jar's philosophy of making wines that are food-friendly and easy to enjoy."
Schaff is part of a growing number of women entering the workforce who are leveraging their love of STEM curriculum into a career in winemaking. After graduating with a degree in Environmental Geology Science from Boston College in 2010, she served as a harvest intern at Hahn Family Wines. Exhilarated by the work, she steadily progressed to Assistant Winemaker. In 2014, she joined the Jamieson Ranch Vineyard winemaking team, where she further honed her winemaking credentials before being tapped for Jelly Jar's winemaking position. "My winemaking career involved a lot of hands-on learning and advice from a series of dedicated mentors. I love combining my love of science, food and the outdoors into a lifelong career," added Schaff. Jelly Jar (SRP: $14.99) is a California red blend easily spotted by its expressive yet simple and approachable design with a jelly jar glass filled with red wine on the label. It's a great choice for everyday occasions. Go ahead, drink it out of any wine glass, or, even a jelly jar! Jelly Jar is one of the wines among WX Brands' portfolio of award-winning brands including Bread & Butter, Chronic Cellars, Jamieson Ranch Vineyards and Our Daily Wines. Also Unveils Paradis Imperial Decanter and Inspired Louis Vuitton Trunk NEW YORK, June 14, 2019 /HalcyonTV/ -- Hennessy, the world's best-selling Cognac, is proud to announce actor Henry Golding as the official ambassador for the brand's Prestige range of Cognacs, including Hennessy X.O and the Rare Cognac Collection. The new partnership took center stage last night at STUDIO 525 in New York City.
"I am honored to join Hennessy as their first official Prestige ambassador," says Henry Golding. "Similar to Hennessy, I have a passion for global exploration and an inherent curiosity to discover the rich diversity of the world. I look forward to the many exciting projects to come and taking my fans on this journey with me." The new collaboration will spotlight Hennessy's Prestige portfolio through the lens of discerning taste and travel, influenced by Golding's distinctively modern way of looking at the world. Within Hennessy's Rare Cognac Collection, the jewel in the crown is Paradis Imperial. The intimate evening also served as the unveiling of a new modern Paradis Imperial crystal decanter designed by artist Arik Levy. Working hand-in-hand with master crystal cutters, the striking vessel is a sensitive yet daring balance of curve and tension, with a faceted design that captures subtle variations in lighting to enhance the Cognac's golden color. Arik Levy also created a service ritual for even more precision in pouring, measuring and tasting, with elements inspired by tools used by Hennessy's Tasting Committee during its daily ritual. THE PARADIS IMPERIAL TRUNK & NOMAD CASE BY LOUIS VUITTON Hennessy is proud to unveil the Hennessy Paradis Imperial Trunk, a special creation realized by the master craftsmen at Louis Vuitton. Designed to hold four magnums, it features an unexpected trunk-within-a-trunk construction: a single-magnum travel case nestled within the body of the trunk. Thanks to this configuration, parties of up to 18 people may appreciate Hennessy Paradis Imperial together. HENNESSY PARADIS IMPERIAL Paradis Imperial defies preconceptions about aged Cognacs with its pale color and non-traditional taste, a commemoration and celebration of the time-honored art of selection, a method perfected by the Fillioux family of Master Blenders for eight successive generations. "Without my predecessors' passion and savoir-faire, Paradis Imperial would never have been possible," says Renaud Fillioux de Gironde, Hennessy's eighth-generation Master Blender. "Striving for the greatest precision possible is what inspires me most: I want to craft blends that are worthy of Hennessy's unique legacy." Selecting only eaux-de-vie of extreme finesse is a feat of such precision that, on average, in any given harvest, only 10 out of every 10,000 are deemed elegant enough to one day become part of Hennessy Paradis Imperial. The result is a contemporary blend of unexpected contrast and ethereal grace, with a dazzling golden hue unprecedented for eaux-de-vie of this age. Paradis Imperial is marked by a delicate yet persistent finish, characterized by crisp floral notes tinged with a smoky, spicy accent. As an ensemble, the decanter, trunk and service ritual embody a modern lifestyle and way of looking at the world; they reflect a contemporary quest for exceptional pieces especially crafted for sharing remarkable experiences. Now available nationwide, the new Hennessy Paradis Imperial decanter is priced at $3,000 (750ml). The Paradis Imperial Trunk and Nomad Case by Louis Vuitton are available for custom order, with pricing provided upon request at RareCognacCollection@Hennessy.com. The Noble Collection's Newest Expression is a Celebration of The Art, Science and Creativity Behind The World's Best Selling Canadian Whisky GIMLI, Manitoba, June 6, 2019 /HalcyonTV/ -- The Crown Royal brand continues to push the boundaries of innovation with different flavor offerings and finishing techniques, most recently highlighted by the introduction of the newest addition to the Noble Collection, Crown Royal Noble Collection French Oak Cask Finished. This limited-edition expression showcases Crown Royal Fine De Luxe, the standard of excellence for Canadian whisky, finished in new French oak barrels. The result is a whisky with captivating character, body and structure, that is still undeniably Crown Royal smooth.
The Noble Collection is a multi-award-winning series of whiskies that are released on an annual basis. Now in its fourth year, each creation has provided an opportunity to highlight the artistry and skill of the Crown Royal Master Distillers and Blenders, who are dedicated to their craft of creating extraordinary whiskies inspired by the brand's long and rich history. "We're continuously in awe of our Master Distillers and Blenders' ability to surprise and delight with interesting takes on whisky, while still maintaining the premium standards of excellence that distinguishes Crown Royal," said Nicola Heckles, Director, Crown Royal at DIAGEO North America. "Crown Royal Noble Collection French Oak Cask Finished is an example of our commitment to innovation and being unabashedly unafraid to try new things we anticipate people will enjoy." The famed French oak used in Crown Royal Noble Collection French Oak Cask Finished is sourced from the renowned Vosges region in France, known for its meticulously manicured forests and ideal climate that creates the tightest grain to help impart subtle flavors and aromas of vanilla and baking spices into the whisky. Once harvested, the oak is open-air seasoned for two years to transform the wood in order to set the stage for the final two-step fire toasting. These precisely toasted new French oak barrels allow the brand to marry Crown Royal Fine De Luxe with rich dark notes of caramel, vanilla and fruit along with a body and structure that can only be achieved through French oak. "We are honored to share this exceptional whisky and grateful we were given creative liberty to do so. Our ability to elevate Crown Royal Fine De Luxe using innovative materials to bring out new flavors was an exciting experience for this team of veteran blenders," said Mark Balkenende, Master Blender for Crown Royal. "We are always looking for ways to experiment with the brand's flavor profile and with Crown Royal Noble Collection French Oak Cask Finished, it is evident how intentional changes in barrel selection and aging can enhance the flavor while elevating the signature smoothness of Crown Royal Fine De Luxe." Crown Royal Noble Collection French Oak Cask Finished is packaged in a sleek bottle with a crystal-cut style base and a resealable cork top. The canister is a rich, deep purple to match the classic Crown Royal regal purple, and it is encased in the brand's iconic purple bag with gold accents, making this whisky the perfect gift to commemorate special occasions and holidays, including Father's Day. Crown Royal Noble Collection French Oak Cask Finished is 80 proof, 40% Alc/Vol and will be available in limited quantities nationwide at the suggested retail price of $59.99 for a 750 mL bottle.
